Field Trip: Glendale Recharge Ponds with Kathe Anderson

Start from Scottsdale to prowl the wetlands hoping for the usual variety of birds—mostly ducks, raptors and other water-loving species like black phoebes, pipits and swallows, but we’ll hope for an abundance of shorebirds returning from points north.

Perhaps we’ll get lucky with some unusual species for the desert, like dunlin or whimbrels.

Difficulty: 1-2

Limit: 7

Cost: Please ask your driver if you may contribute 25¢ per mile toward gas.
