Injured Birds

Assessing a Bird in Need

If you see a bird on the ground your first instinct is to help it.

But before you act, take a minute to assess whether it really needs your help.

In many cases the bird should be left alone.

Baby birds, for example, may not be in danger at all.

Most likely a parent is nearby supervising the youngster.
