Curious About Backyard Birds?

Join the Early Birds Club!

Have you ever wondered what those birds are in your back yard?

Do you hear birds singing and wonder who is making that sound?

Do you enjoy being outside and finding things that other people don’t even notice?

If so, the Early Birds Club is definitely for you.

Desert Rivers Audubon Early Birds Club

In Desert Rivers Audubon’s Early Birds Club, starting naturalists ages 6 to 17 learn about birds, animals and the places they live.

Gilbert Riparian Preserve, where more than 200 species of birds have been recorded, is their classroom.

On the third Saturday a month from October through April the group gathers at the Desert Rivers Audubon ramada to learn binocular skills and some aspect of natural history. The time varies by season so watch your Desert Rivers Audubon newsletter.

Then they explore the preserve to see its feathered residents.
