Curious About Backyard Birds?
Join the Young Birders Club!
Have you ever wondered what those birds are in your back yard?
Do you hear birds singing and wonder who is making that sound?
Do you enjoy being outside and finding things that other people don’t even notice?
If so, the Young Birders Club is definitely for you.
Desert Rivers Audubon Young Birders Club
In Desert Rivers Audubon’s Young Birders Club, starting naturalists ages 6 to 17 learn about birds, animals and the places they live.
Gilbert Riparian Preserve, where more than 200 species of birds have been recorded, is their classroom.
On the third Saturday a month from October through April the group gathers at the Dragonfly Ramada at the preserve to learn binocular skills and some aspect of natural history.
The time varies by season so watch your Desert Rivers Audubon newsletter.

The Young Birders Club is free. Each child must be accompanied by an adult.
