Notice: This field trip is already filled.
Start the new year with a resolution to spend more time outdoors. Join us at Papago Park at 8:00 on January 11 as a first time birdwatcher, to get reacquainted with birding or simply to enjoy birding with other experienced folks. Let our guide, Margaret Dyekman, show you how easy it is to birdwatch in an urban park.
This trip is for birdwatchers of all skill levels. The park has ponds frequented by egrets, herons, cormorants and a wide variety of ducks. Songbirds will be heard and seen in the trees. Red-tailed and Harris’ Hawks frequently soar over this park. We might even see an Osprey catch a fish. Margaret is a life-long birder and author of Backyard Birding in Northern Arizona.
