Danny Roper-Jones, Center Director will present an update on recent progress and revitalized programs at the Nina Mason Pulliam Rio Salado Audubon Center, focused on reinvesting in community programming, facilities, operations, and partnerships, along with upcoming plans and next steps.
Also, an introduction to the new Rio Salado Habitat Restoration Working Group, leading community-based conservation and habitat restoration through collaboration and multi-spectral drone mapping.

Danny “Earthman Dan” is a longtime environmental educator and science communicator with a background in primate behavior and anthropology. His conservation work spans Madagascar, Nigeria, and Cambodia, where he collaborated with local educators to produce nature films, develop wildlife education programs, and lead public outreach through storytelling and media.
As founder of Fauna in Focus, he created films for Cambodian audiences and helped design the country’s first Nature Discovery Center. Since joining Audubon Southwest in 2023, Danny has been helping lead efforts at the Rio Salado Audubon Center to enhance visitor experiences, expand exhibits, and grow community programs.
