Desert Rivers Audubon Society’s official service area consists of the eastern part of the Valley of the Sun, including Gilbert, Chandler, Chandler Heights, San Tan Valley, Coolidge, Florence, Globe, Payson, Winkleman, and Kearney. Many of our members and event participants also come from neighboring cities and towns or as winter residents and visitors from out-of-state. All are welcome!
We participate in many nature, birding, and conservation events with local governments and civic organizations in our service area. We partner with parks and recreation departments and libraries to bring birding and conservation educational presentations to the public. We are open to suggestions for collaborating with local organizations and other nonprofits, and while most of our efforts are free of charge to participants, we always appreciate donations to cover costs and to expand our offerings.
In addition, Desert Rivers is an active member of the Arizona Council of Audubon Chapters and collaborates on statewide projects.
