BIG SIT at Desert Breeze Hummingbird Habitat. This event is designed for all nature lovers including those with accessibility challenges; wheelchairs, walkers, or other assistive devices are welcome. Each registered participant is welcome to bring a support person. This park has benches, a parking lot immediately adjacent to the habitat with 6 accessible parking spots. There are restrooms a short distance along a paved path in the main part of the park.

Time:  8:00 am – 10:00 am  FREE

This event is open to everyone. We gather at the Hummingbird Habitat in Desert Breeze Park and watch the birds from a “sitting” position or meander about inside the habitat. The peaceful waterfall and native plants draw a variety of birds. Frequent visitors are Anna’s Hummingbird, Vermilion Flycatcher, Say’s and Black Phoebe, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, Yellow-rumped Warbler and Orange-crowned Warbler. Costa and Black-chinned Hummingbirds have been seen here. Black-throated, Lark and Song Sparrows along with Dark-eyed Juncos might surprise us.

Leader: Karen Stucke-Jungemann

The location is The Desert Breeze Hummingbird habitat, tucked into the west side of the Desert Breeze park, at 4700 N Desert Breeze Blvd W, Chandler AZ 85226.
